HEALER IN RESIDENCY: Cristina Chi Gonzalez
This week I got the beautiful opportunity to receive our mujer medicina, artist/healer in resident, Cristina Chi Gonzalez, and learn of her philosophies on ancient healing, meditations on modern civilization, and discuss her personal alignment, with the spirit, and way of WOMB. Her sui generis medicinal practice is Shamanic Psycho Massage, whereby individuals may reclaim the intimacy of connecting to the pain of past lives and locate the intersections with the inner and outer climates of this lifetime. In this conjuration, Gonzalez becomes an intuitive channel that may reach into the emotion/memory, and transmute the sensations physically, into liberation, and back into love.
In a curative and holistic psycho massage session, the practitioner will begin with an energy reading of the body. Then they will manually massage the corporal figure to assess where there may be blockages or stories imprinted upon the deepest tissues. An essential tenet of this form of healing, is understanding that the session is not practitioner guided, and client worked upon. It is an interplay of the spirit, and body of each, that creates the atmosphere whereby each individual is openly transmitting, and communicating, psychically, physically, and verbally. This necessitates the openness of both practitioner and client to receive, images, and emotions into conscious awareness. Although intimately involved, sensitive, and clairvoyant, it is immensely important that the practitioner does not overstep. Through instinct and connection, they may be guided to know where a person is able to go at a given time, into the pain and how deep. It shows what part of the body can be worked with, where not to massage, and to know when not to verbalize emerging visions, all with aligned timing. Gonzalez made a point to share that this form of healing is not necessarily focused on clearing the blockages, but rather giving the sensations of peace and harmony to envelop whatever heaviness is breathing in the system. In this ideology, we must access our darker spaces, but to enlivening them, will not lead to liberation. We heal by generating more synergy, more warmth, and more congruence.
The beauty of Gonzalez’s personal induction into being a medicine woman is that it came organically through the influence of these tranquil sensations. The process did not begin with a concerted effort on her part, but rather, as many healers, the act of identifying inherent understandings with etheric guidance. She found herself in a mediation, being healed with angels, where she returned home to her power and divinity. It was in a Temazcal shortly after, where she realized her need to heal through touch, and the ability to transmit this capacity with her vessel. It was through the remembrance of being a medicine woman in past incarnations, that she could felt she was returning to her souls mission. Although, she recognizes this beautiful capacity she holds, she has indicated that she ultimately feels in service. She does this to remind others of their potent gifts too, that housed within all, is the medicine woman, teacher, guru, and guide. In her voice workshops, and in the Temazcals, she assists the individual to the power of their own instrument, their voice, and the knowing in their vessels.
In this “progressive,” era, and cultivations of modern civilization, we have strayed far from the intrinsic truths and our sensory intelligence. Gonzalez suggests that there are three energies inherent to each being; masculine, feminine, and divine. In the current iteration of paradigms, we have a grave disconnect between the fluid dance of the trinity. Instead, the collective has found deep rooted indoctrination with competition, divisiveness, and in constant motions of consumption. Her practices and philosophy are in line the crusade to return to an origin, with our elemental unions. The union of the masculine, feminine, and divine, the union of light and shadow, the union of the cosmos with the earth, animals and humans, and the reconciliation of this planet with other galaxies. These processes would be to resume the medicine and wisdom of our ancestors. This can only return in divine practice, and through the integrative restoration of reverence, respect, gratitude, generosity, and honoring life forms.
Gonzalez's alignment with the WOMB ethos was founded in these principles. When Joui sought a general body massage with Gonzalez, an intimacy, immediate bond, and connective understanding was instantly established. In Chi’s words “she perceived the medicine woman in me, and I noticed the medicine women in her.” This environment, and the cultural climate allows each person to freely explore their creativity and personal divinity in an open space. It was an environment that lent itself to the many different processes Cristina calls forth, such as womens circles, voice workshops, rapé ceremonies, healing sessions, and community building. Her desires for healing, transcend the individual and find home in unification, participation, and to coalesce with our individual holy formations. WOMB nurtures and generates this specific oasis, in the spatial dynamics, in energy, in values, and in practice.

Esta semana tuve la hermosa oportunidad de recibir a nuestra mujer curandera, artista / curandera en residente, Cristina Chi González, y aprender de sus filosofías sobre curaciones antiguas, meditaciones sobre la civilización moderna y discutir su alineación personal, con el espíritu y la forma de WOMB. Su práctica medicinal sui generis es el Psico Masaje Chamánico, mediante el cual las personas pueden recuperar la intimidad de conectarse con el dolor de vidas pasadas y localizar las intersecciones con los climas internos y externos de esta vida. En este conjuro, González se convierte en un canal intuitivo que puede llegar a la emoción / memoria y transmutar las sensaciones físicamente, en liberación y nuevamente en amor.
En una sesión de psico-masaje curativo y holístico, el practicante comenzará con una lectura energética del cuerpo. Luego masajearán manualmente la figura corporal para evaluar dónde puede haber bloqueos o historias impresas en los tejidos más profundos. Es una interacción del espíritu y el cuerpo de cada persona lo que crea la atmósfera en la que cada individuo transmite y se comunica abiertamente, psíquica, física y verbalmente. Esto requiere la apertura tanto del practicante como del cliente para recibir imágenes y emociones en la conciencia. Aunque está íntimamente involucrado, es sensible y clarividente, es inmensamente importante que el practicante no se sobrepase. A través del instinto y la conexión, pueden ser guiados para saber a dónde puede llegar una persona en un momento dado, hacia el dolor y la profundidad. Muestra con qué parte del cuerpo se puede trabajar, dónde no masajear y saber cuándo no verbalizar visiones emergentes, todo con sincronización alineada. González hizo un punto para compartir que esta forma de curación no necesariamente se enfoca en despejar los bloqueos, sino en dar sensaciones de paz y armonía para envolver cualquier pesadez que se respira en el sistema. En esta ideología, debemos acceder a nuestros espacios más oscuros, pero avivarlos no conducirá a la liberación. Curamos generando más sinergia, más calidez y más congruencia.
La belleza de la inducción personal de González es que vino orgánicamente a través de la influencia de estas sensaciones tranquilas. El proceso no comenzó con un esfuerzo concertado de ella parte, sino más bien, como muchos sanadores, el acto de identificar los entendimientos inherentes con la guía etérica. Se encontró en una mediación, siendo sanada con ángeles, donde regresó a casa a su poder y divinidad. Fue en un Temazcal poco después, donde se dio cuenta de su necesidad de sanar a través del tacto y la habilidad de transmitir esta capacidad con su vasija. Fue a través del recuerdo de haber sido una curandera en encarnaciones pasadas, que pudo sentir que estaba regresando a la misión de ella alma. Aunque reconoce esta hermosa capacidad que tiene, ha indicado que finalmente ella siente en servicio. Ella hace esto para recordarles a los demás también potentes dones, que dentro de todos se encuentran la curandera, maestra, gurú y guía. En ella talleres de canto, y en los Temazcals, asiste al individuo en el poder de su propio instrumento, su voz y el conocimiento en sus vasijas.
En esta era “progresiva” y los cultivos de la civilización moderna, nos hemos alejado mucho de las verdades intrínsecas y de nuestra inteligencia sensorial. La unión de lo masculino, femenino y divino, la unión de la luz y la sombra, la unión del cosmos con la tierra, los animales y los humanos, y la reconciliación de este planeta con otras galaxias. Esto solo puede regresar en la práctica divina y mediante la restauración integradora de la reverencia, el respeto, la gratitud, la generosidad y el honor a las formas de vida.
La alineación de González con el espíritu de WOMB se basó en estos principios. Cuando Joui buscó un masaje corporal general con González, se estableció instantáneamente una intimidad, un vínculo inmediato y una comprensión conectiva. En palabras de Chi, "ella percibió a la curandera en mí y yo noté a las curanderas en ella". Este entorno y el clima cultural permite que cada persona explore libremente su creatividad y divinidad personal en un espacio abierto. Fue un ambiente que se prestó a los muchos procesos diferentes que Cristina quieres, como círculos de mujeres, talleres de voz, ceremonias de rapé, sesiones de sanación y construcción de comunidad. Ella deseos de curación trascienden al individuo y encuentran hogar en la unificación, participación y unión con nuestras santas formaciones individuales. WOMB nutre y genera este oasis específico, en la dinámica espacial, en la energía, en los valores y en la práctica.
